Pernand-Vergelesses "Les Combottes"

The youngest vines in this vineyard are around 40 years old, situated on a slope extending off Corton Charlemagne. The soil thus has the same organic profile (white marl on clay-limestone soils), and the characters of these two wines have birthed numerous analogies. The wines are mineral, perfumed, dry and well balanced. They age with flavours of mineral stone and grilled almonds. It is a delicious accompaniment to seafood, crustaceans, snails à la Bourguignon and persillade frogs legs.
